TikTok Shop Europe 2026: Sell Across 10 Countries With One Registration

Social Tale Team·July 2026

TikTok Shop's European expansion accelerated significantly in June 2026. Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Poland went live on June 15, bringing the total number of active TikTok Shop European markets to ten. Alongside the expansion, TikTok launched "Sell Across Europe", a feature that allows a single seller registration to cover multiple EU countries without separate per-country setup.

For brands already on TikTok Shop UK, or brands considering European expansion, 2026 represents a meaningful opportunity window. This post covers the current state of the European rollout, what Sell Across Europe means practically, and how to approach the market.

The 10 European TikTok Shop Markets (As of July 2026)

Country Launch date Status
United Kingdom 2023 Mature
Germany 2024 Growing
France 2024 Growing
Italy 2024 Growing
Spain 2024 Growing
Ireland 2024 Growing
Austria June 2026 New
Belgium June 2026 New
Netherlands June 2026 New
Poland June 2026 New

The next wave of European markets expected to launch (no official dates confirmed): Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Portugal, Czechia, and Greece. TikTok has indicated these are targeted for before year-end 2026, making the European footprint potentially 16 markets by early 2027.

What "Sell Across Europe" Actually Means

The single most significant feature of the June 2026 expansion is the Sell Across Europe programme, TikTok's answer to the friction of multi-country European selling.

Before Sell Across Europe, expanding from TikTok Shop UK to Germany or France required separate seller registrations, separate bank account verifications, separate product listings with localised content, and separate compliance documentation for each country. This was a significant operational barrier that kept most UK sellers from expanding into European markets.

Sell Across Europe consolidates this:

Single registration. One seller account registration covers all participating EU markets. Your business entity, bank account, and identity verification are done once.

Shared catalogue. Product listings can be published across multiple EU markets from a single catalogue, with localisation (pricing, descriptions, translations) managed at the country level within the same product record.

Unified reporting. Cross-market GMV, orders, and performance metrics are available in a consolidated view, as well as country-level breakdowns.

Centralised payouts. Revenue from all markets is consolidated and paid out to a single bank account (with currency conversion handling for non-EUR markets).

What you still need to manage per-country:

  • VAT registration in each market (this is a legal requirement that TikTok cannot consolidate, if you sell into Germany, you need German VAT compliance)
  • Language localisation for listings (TikTok's AI translation tools help, but review quality varies by language)
  • Country-specific product compliance documentation (CE marking, food safety certifications, etc.)
  • Local pricing (a product that sells at £30 in the UK may need different EUR pricing for market-appropriate positioning)

The UK vs. EU Market Dynamics

TikTok Shop UK is significantly more mature than the EU markets. The UK launched in 2023 and had two years of creator ecosystem development before the EU expansion began. Creator density, buyer familiarity with in-app purchase, and GMV per MAU (monthly active user) are all higher in the UK than in Germany, France, or the newer June 2026 markets.

For brands entering European TikTok Shop now, the dynamics are different by market:

UK: Competitive, established. Strong creator ecosystem, high affiliate commission rates in beauty and fashion (15–25%), buyers experienced with TikTok shopping. High potential GMV but also the most crowded market.

Germany, France, Italy, Spain: Growing, but consumer behaviour around social commerce varies significantly. Germany in particular has strong online shopping habits (Amazon dominates) but social commerce adoption is slower than the UK. France and Spain are showing stronger TikTok Shop momentum. These markets offer earlier-mover advantages with less competition than UK.

Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland: Brand new. Minimal competition, early adopter creator audiences, but also lower buyer familiarity. These are long-term bets rather than near-term revenue drivers.

Language and Localisation Strategy

The practical barrier to multi-market selling in Europe is content localisation. TikTok's algorithm serves content based on language, a video in English will not distribute well to French TikTok users.

TikTok's AI Dubbing tool (launched at TikTok World 2026) helps address this. The tool automatically translates and re-dubs creator videos into other languages. Quality is sufficient for commerce content, though brand-critical messaging should be reviewed by a native speaker.

For written listing content (titles, descriptions, bullet points), TikTok provides machine translation with the option to override at the country level. Again, machine translation quality is adequate for product information but benefits from native review for marketing copy.

The brands making the most of the June 2026 expansion are taking a phased approach: launch in English-speaking Ireland (alongside UK) and the UK-adjacent French and German markets, use AI Dubbing for creator content translation, and invest in proper localisation for the two or three markets showing the strongest early traction.

VAT: The Non-Negotiable Compliance Requirement

Sell Across Europe does not handle VAT for you. This is the most important operational fact for any brand expanding into EU markets through TikTok Shop.

Under EU VAT rules (the One Stop Shop / OSS regime):

  • Brands selling to EU consumers above a €10,000 annual threshold must register for VAT
  • The OSS simplifies this significantly, one VAT return covers all EU member states
  • The UK is not part of the OSS; UK VAT is separate

For brands already selling in EU countries through Amazon or their own website, the VAT registration infrastructure is likely already in place. For UK-only or US brands expanding into EU TikTok Shop for the first time, VAT registration needs to happen before meaningful revenue accumulates.

The standard approach is to register through the OSS in the EU member state of your choosing (Ireland is a common choice for English-speaking brands) and file quarterly OSS returns covering all EU sales.

Consult an international VAT specialist before launching. The penalties for non-compliance are significant and enforcement is active across EU markets.

How to Approach the European TikTok Shop Opportunity

If you are already on TikTok Shop UK: The lowest-friction expansion is to Ireland (same language, same currency zone for practical purposes, similar consumer profile). After Ireland, Germany and France are the next largest revenue opportunities, both have established TikTok user bases and growing creator ecosystems.

Request access to Sell Across Europe through your Seller Center account. The registration process for adding EU markets should be streamlined through the existing verification you completed for UK.

If you are a US TikTok Shop seller considering Europe: UK is the most developed market and the easiest entry point for US brands (language, legal framework, payment infrastructure). The European markets are secondary considerations, worth adding through Sell Across Europe once UK is established.

If you are new to TikTok Shop: Do not try to launch across multiple European markets simultaneously. The operational complexity is real even with Sell Across Europe. Pick one market (UK for most English-language brands), establish product-market fit, build creator relationships, and then expand.

FAQ

Do I need to re-register if I am already on TikTok Shop UK and want to expand to EU markets? No, Sell Across Europe is designed to add EU markets to your existing UK account without full re-registration. Contact your account manager or apply through Seller Center to activate the additional market access.

What languages must my listings be in for EU markets? TikTok requires listings to be in the local language of each market. Machine translation is provided with the option to override. For Germany and France, localised listings significantly outperform auto-translated English content.

Can I use FBT for EU fulfillment? FBT infrastructure in EU markets is less developed than in the UK and US. For the June 2026 launch markets, 3PL is the primary fulfillment option, with FBT availability expanding over time. Check current FBT availability in each market through Seller Center.

Is the creator ecosystem developed enough in the new EU markets to run an affiliate programme? It is emerging. The Netherlands, Belgium, and Austria have active TikTok creator communities, but the TikTok Shop affiliate infrastructure is new. Commission rates are lower than in the UK and category competition is minimal, which means it is a good time to build creator relationships before competition increases.

When is TikTok Shop launching in Australia? No confirmed timeline. TikTok ANZ's General Manager confirmed at TikTok Spotlight Sydney in March 2026 that there are no near-term plans for an Australian launch. Independent estimates point to 2027–2028 at the earliest.
